Hi. I’m Mel Rosenthal.

I’m a coach, mentor and educator working with clients across the globe from my home city, Melbourne, Australia.

I work with Founders and Leaders to drive growth for companies and the people in them. I spent the first 15 years of my career in corporate roles responsible for Product, Marketing and Innovation. Over the last 15 years, I have built a reputation as a coach and mentor who is commercially minded, straight-talking and pragmatic.

“Informed curiosity” is the trademark of my work. I use my knowledge and experience to ask the hard questions that challenge your assumptions, build confidence and create clarity. Dialogue is the tool we use to unlock new insights together and create opportunities for you and your team to think and act differently. It’s also the process I used to develop 52conversations.com, a card game to create the conversations that matter.

I am trusted by the leadership of companies including Who Gives A Crap, Minor Figures, Keep Cup, StartUp Victoria, QBE, Tyro, Champion Life, Thoughtworks, The Australian Centre for Social Innovation, Inventium, Advisian, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Swinburne University, Alinta Energy, ME Bank, Visy and Medtronic.

I am a Professional Certified Coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation and an Australian Institute of Company Directors graduate (GAICD).  I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from the University of Western Australia and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

I strive to do good and to be good.

I’m focused on working with companies, founders and leaders who are doing good in the world. You might be a purpose driven venture focused on social impact, a medical research institute working to cure cancer or an individual executive in a large corporation who is working hard to create a responsible, positive culture in your team - the definition of “good” is broad but my intent is clear.

I know what I know and what I don’t know. I’m very careful about selecting work that leverages my expertise and referring opportunities that aren’t my specialty to others in my global network. I’m constantly creating opportunities to stretch and challenge myself - because I love to learn, and it helps me to retain empathy for the discomfort that my clients experience in their pursuit of growth.

I’m committed to taking care of my physical and mental health to do my best work for my clients and be there for my family when they need me.
